Hello everyone! One fine afternoon, I had ventured out to buy a gift for my husband’s 33rd birthday, when I had promptly walked into a store and had bought a dress for myself. Well yes, that is how it turned out to be! As soon as I saw this floral summery dress, I knew it was mine. It fitted me so well, and smartly hid my bulging paunch.
Come March, and my Arien baby gets all excited about his special day. So we decided to go out for a Lunch Date. I created a very minimalist look, since it was very hot and humid in Kolkata. For my eyes, I outlined and filled in my eyebrows with a matte brown shade from Sephora’s Blockbuster Palette. I had outlined my upper and lower eye lid with Urban Decay’s 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in the shade “Mushroom”. I purposefully ditched my black kajal, and decided to try a shimmery shade for brightening my eyes. The eye pencil is extremely creamy and glides on my eyelid smoothly. For my lips, I chose a Sheer coverage shade “kissability” from Marc Jacobs. It felt great on my lips and did not leave patches or feel sticky. It stayed on for a couple of hours even after I had my meals, after which, it faded in an even tone. For my face I used Mac’s select sheer pressed powder. That’s it. I do not like using too many products on my face, specially when it is very hot and humid in Kolkata. Hence, I kept it to a bare minimum of 3-4 products for my face. A floral perfume and I was ready for my Lunch Date.
I love wearing my hair short, so no hassles with my hairdo. A simple blow dry, and I already had a good hair day!
My coral knee-length dress is from Code by Lifestyle (Quest Mall, Kolkata). It has a V-shaped neckline, and comes in a floral print. I love how it looks, specially the thin belt which came as an accessory along with the dress. I chose tiny earrings to go with the dress, and intentionally kept my neckline bare. A watch and a silver bangle, and I was good to go!
