Devi – Season Three | Fashion Post | Lookbook | Collaboration Post #BlogGarba
Presenting another series of collaboration named #BLOGGARBA | A blog train by 16 versatile Bloggers
Today’s post is a LookBook that I have created for Navratri Series. I shall be posting three different looks in 3 different sarees for Navratri. Being a Bengali, I swear by the six yards of elegance whenever it comes to festivals. And Navratri being no exception!
And before I forget, thank you Dipika for introducing me. You can check out her blog here
Look One: I am wearing a White Lucknawi Chikan Cotton Saree and have paired it with two different blouses for two different looks. One is a simple cotton blouse, that will complement any daytime event. The other one is a Blue Brocade Blouse that will go very well with any night time festive occasion.
The makeup has been intentionally kept very simple. Kohl laden eyes, paired with a mauve shimmer lipstick. And lastly, a red bindi to complete the Bengali Look. Earrings have also been kept different. While the simple blouse gets a stone studded jhumka to go with it, the brocade blouse look has been paired with heavy danglers.
Look Two: A cotton silk saree in yellow paired with a red brocade blouse for that festivity look. Double tiered golden jhumkas adorn the ears. A pair of Red Bala (A broad bangle traditionally made and worn by the people in West Bengal) brings out the festivity. And as always, the simple red bindi is spotted on the forehead. Kohl laden eyes, this time with a hint of aqua colour on the lids. Lips have the same mauve shimmer lipstick.
Look Three: A jute silk saree, that is extremely comfortable and easy to drape. The saree has been paired with a sleeveless magenta blouse. Ear rings have been kept heavy for this look. Victorian pearl ear rings with maroon stones for the ears. And yes, we did not miss the bindi again. A hint of kohl with some lipstick. And we are all set to rock!
