ColourPop Cosmetics: Beauty That Doesn’t Break The Bank!
Think Colourpop! Think luxury!
Now think Colourpop Lipsticks in a Luxurious Rose Gold Case, that sits pretty on your dresser. For Seven Dollars Each!
Sounds too good to be true, right?
Presenting before you, Colourpop Lux Lipsticks, that come in three formulas :
- Creme Lux (Creamy comfortable formula)
- Matte Lux (Turns Matte upon application)
- Blur Lux (More of a Powdery Matte formula)
Ideally I would have loved to try their Matte and Blur formula, but as luck would have had it, I ordered three of their Creme Lux Lipsticks, without even probing into its formula!
Starting from the left :
- Hello Stranger – Deepened Burgundy
- What If – Cool Toned Fuschia
- Gallop – Terracotta Shade
Their website describes this collection as :
This full-coverage lipstick is packed full of the finest pigments to give you long-wearing, true color in shades made for every skin tone. This super pigmented formula glides on like butter from our exclusive LUX blend of Acai, Jojoba and Pomegranate Seed butters that hydrate and keep your lips looking fresh AF. Natural antioxidants protect your lips from environmental stressors and premature aging.

Packaging : The Lux Lipsticks come in a white cardboard box with the names of the shade neatly marked at the bottom. The rose gold packaging certainly adds an element of class to it! The bullet makes the application easy. Once you hold the Lux Lipsticks in your hand, you certainly won’t feel like going back to the Colourpop Lippie Stixs.
Formula : Their Creme Lux formula is very smooth, creamy and they glide over the lips like a dream! They are super pigmented and hydrate your lips. A single swipe is enough to fill your lips with colour. However, there is a dark side to it. They do not have a great staying power, and need constant re-application. It transfers to my cup, spoons very easily while having my meal, and needs frequent touch-ups.
Verdict : Will I repurchase it? No! (But I would like to try one of their Blur Lux Lipsticks).
So that’s all for this post. I hope you enjoyed my Colourpop series.
