Pulp Cosmetics | Buiescreek Cosmetics | Body Scrubs | Face Masks | Product Review
Last week, while I was merrily vacationing away in Thailand, the temperature gradually dropped down in Kolkata. I came back to my City of Joy and as soon as I stepped out of the Airport, I felt a nip in the air. As I drove back to a place I call home, I was already prepping myself to take care of my skin, specially during this transition phase. The beautiful golden tan that the islands of Thailand gave me was very much evident. And to my surprise, as soon as I reached back home, a box full of aromatic goodies were waiting for me in my mailbox. I could not wait to discover what was in store for me in the box.
Before we get to the usage and efficacy of the product, let us find out a little more about the brand, shall we?
The brand Pulp was founded in 2017, with a goal to provide effective skin care products formulated with the purest and the most nutrient-rich ingredients the nature has to offer. Their website promises :
Those who love organic skin care products and cosmetics, would sure love PULP and its promised quality. Everyday your skin is exposed to parabens, sulfate, and toxic carcinogens – prolonged use of which causes your skin to age early and appear lifeless. The PULP formula of organic beauty gives a fresh bloom to your skin, thereby rejuvenating all your skin cells. Every PULP product is a nature’s secret solution to your natural beauty.
Organic skin care promotes healthy lifestyle since the products are derived from plants that have been grown without chemical fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides, making them skin friendly. Each one of you dreaming of “safe skin” and wants to be-you-tiful, signifying being beautiful while you is welcome to try our products and make your dream come true. We like to call ourselves as a bunch of passionate eco lovers, integrally PULP as a company, and love to live a life free from toxins, chemicals, and artificial elements – the motto of our brand.
It is indeed very thoughtful of the brand to come up with their unique range of body scrubs and face masks that help in detoxifying your skin naturally. The scrubs and masks are finely granulated powder that smell heavenly. While I write that, I would also say that people who are allergic to scent should refrain from trying Rosetta, because it has an overpowering smell of roses. You can probably try their other range of face masks. The brand promises that their products are 100% natural without any chemicals, parabens or fillers. The products are cruelty free and do not contain any petroleum-based chemicals such as mineral oil or paraffin.
Now let us quickly take you through their entire range of Body Scrubs and Face Masks that are presently available.

Moving on to my experience with Chocococo ~ their body scrub
I’m dark, chocolatey, and rich in antioxidants. Although I’m best used in winter to dust off dull skin, just like a cake, I can be enjoyed all season. It would be your dirtiest shower ever!
Ingredients: Cocoa powder (Theobroma cacao), Ground Sugar (Sucrose), Coconut Oil (Cocos nucifera), Olive oil (Olea europaea), Coconut Powder (Cocos nucifera), Honey, Glycerin, Shea butter (Eitellaria paradoxa), Cocoa butter (Theobroma cacao), Vitamin E Oil (Tocopherol), Ylang Ylang Oil (Cananga odorata)
Chocococo is finely powdered cocoa powder infused with generous amount of essential oils to keep your skin moisturised and nourished. I mixed around 2-3 teaspoons of chocococo with milk and it turned into a thick paste. Then I used the mixture to scrub my body. It smelt of chocolate, and I felt as if I was scrubbing my body with melted chocolate. It would be wrong to say if I wasn’t tempted to taste it! Then I rinsed it off after 5 minutes with warm water. My skin indeed felt very supple and nourished. I did not even follow it up with a body lotion and left for work. My skin did not feel dry or itchy at all while I was at work. So a big thumbs up for my skin, specially during winters. The instructions on the packet says that this is to be used thrice a week.
Rosetta ~ Face Mask
Sweet and aromatic Rose petals protect your skin from sunburns, leaving it soft and rejuvenated. Calamine hides blemishes, reflects UV rays, and provides toning. Kaolin clay exfoliates and detoxes skin – all these with an elevating fragrance of Rose.
Ingredients: Rose petal infusion (Rosa centifolia), Rose water (Rosa centifolia), Rose oil (Rosa damascena), Rose petals (Rosa centifolia), Kaolin clay, Bentonite clay, Calamine, Glycerin, Vitamin E oil (Tocopherol).
Rosetta is a clay based mask that is suitable for normal skin. It hydrates and tones the skin. I took a teaspoon of Rosetta in a bowl and added a few drops of milk into it. Then I applied the paste evenly all over my face, avoiding the eye area. It has a very strong, overpowering fragrance of Rose. However, the smell did not irritate me. I left the mask to dry on my face for 15 to 20 minutes. My skin started tingling after a while and the mask dried up. Once dry, I dipped my face towel in warm water and gently wiped off the mask. My skin felt very fresh.
Overall, I was very pleased with what this startup brand had to offer. I am yet to try Milky Clay, and for those who would like to see if it works for me or not, please make sure you follow me on my Instagram. The products are to be stored where there is no water, and the temperature is nice and cool. Once the pack is unzipped, the shelf life of the products is approximately 3 months.
