Kolkata has already embraced winters this season. Few days into this transition of weather, and I am already complaining of dry and parched skin. I have tried using every possible skin care hack to keep my skin hydrated during winters. Few days ago, I came across a brand called ST. D’VENCÉ. What struck me about that particular brand was that, they had come up with a body lotion catering to people like me with very dry skin. I really wanted to try and review this product. The team working behind this brand was extremely prompt and professional. They got back to me via email, and within a day or two, I received the product with a personalised note from the Founder/CEO of St. D’vencé, Mr. Yash Hisaria himself. Such detailing speaks a lot about the brand and the kind of attention they pay to their consumers. I was thoroughly impressed!

I was sent a 100 ml bottle to try on. The bottle is quite small and handy, and fits into my bag easily. This one will make a great travel companion, since I need to moisturise my hands “on-the-go” quite often! The bottle came with a flip top lid in black that was quite sturdy and travel friendly. I was sent a pre-launch limited edition bottle from the brand. The bottle available on Amazon (300 ml) has a pump packaging which makes it easy to dispense the right amount of product for use. It also ensures that proper hygiene is maintained. The 100 ml bottle that was sent to me was priced at Rs.275/-.

The formula of the lotion is neither too runny nor too thick. It is non-sticky. It gets absorbed into the skin leaving a mild fragrance behind. I really liked the smell and kept sniffing my hands for quite a number of times. It did not leave a greasy or sticky feeling behind. My skin felt soft, smooth and hydrated for good five to six hours. Thereafter, it required reapplication. Due to the cute and handy packaging, I keep this bottle in my bag, and often use it while at work. The lotion has the goodness of argan oil, avocado butter, olive oil and vitamin E, which has only one promise to offer : Hydration!

• Has a pleasant fragrance to it that is not too overpowering
• 100% vegetarian product, and is not tested on animals (Yayyyy!)

Thumbs Down for:

• Had to shake the bottle  vigorously to get the required quantity of lotion on my palms, but that should not be a problem with the pump dispenser.

The ingredients, manufacturing date and price was clearly indicated on the label of the bottle. The product has a shelf life of 36 months (3 years) from the date of manufacturing. At the given price and quantity, this product is a must have for winters.
