The Body Shop Sale Haul 2020 | Skincare Haul | The Body Shop Favourites | The Body Shop India Online Haul
Hi everyone. I hope you all are keeping well and safe wherever you are. I know that probably this is not the right time to tempt you with a shopping haul, specially one from an expensive brand! If you are in the mood for some splurging or even window shopping on skincare, please read on. Else, you may wish to come back to this post later 🙂
Come July, and my mailbox is flooded with emails on discounts, which even read to Flat 70% and 80%. However, of all the emails, there are two brands that absolutely tempt me with their products, The Body Shop and Bath & Body Works. I love the luxurious feel of their shower gels, lotions and scrubs on my skin, however their rocket high pricing is something that puts me off. Hence, I never buy their products unless they are on discounts. Thankfully they have a mid year sale, when I happily stock up on my essentials without batting an eye lid and keep using it till they come up with another sale the following year.
So, without further delay, let us dive into the products that I picked up online this year from their WEBSITE. Do remember that my skin type is normal to dry, hence I ordered products that would be suitable for my skin type. Also I purposely avoided ordering makeup, but they had an entire range of makeup and brushes on SALE as well.
Offer I availed: GET 50% OFF ON ANY 2, GET EXTRA 5% OFF ON PREPAID ORDERS.
Products I added to my Cart
Bath Gloves : I got to hear very good reviews about this product from a lot of friends, which is why I added 2 of them to my cart. One in Orange, another in Green. The pink one was Sold Out! And as soon as I placed an order, all their Bath Gloves went out of stock! Hence, I now know why this product is in demand. Honestly, I would have never picked them up in their original price, but at Rs.198/- for a pair, this is a steal! Since my trips to spa stand cancelled for the next few years (until Co-Vid bids us goodbye), my exfoliation routine will be home based with these products. Original Price ₹395.00 (a pair)
Satsuma and Strawberry Soap: This is my first soap purchase from The Body Shop. Truth be told, I am not at all in soaps (more into shower gels), but Mr. Pal loves soaps. Satsuma and Strawberry are two of my favourite fragrances from The Body Shop, and at Rs.125/- per soap this was not much of a pocket pinch for us to try! Let me also give it a try, I shall leave a review in case any of you are interested. Original Price ₹245.00 (For 100 grams)
Spa Of The World African Ximenia Scrub: I always scan by the products online by sorting them from low to high (price wise). Am sure, most of you do the same! This product was the last on the list. So by now, am sure you all must have guessed, this one was the most expensive of the lot! I was anyway looking out for a good body scrub, since my Wild Argan Variant tub got finished during the Lockdown (I had also purchased this on SALE last year from The Body Shop). The reviews absolutely tempted me to try this, specially one by SweetAndBitterBlog. She writes honest reviews, and I totally picked this up, not on an impulse, but to see if this really works for me. Will share a detailed review on my experience, just in case anybody is interested. I got this huge tub on discount for Rs.1300/- roughly. Original Price ₹2,595.00 (350 ML)
Spa Of The World Polynesian Monoï Radiance Oil: Its already Monsoons out here in Kolkata and winter is not far behind! Another 2-3 months, and my dry parched skin will be screaming out for body oils and butter. This will come very handy then. Have already read good reviews about it, and since this product works for both hair and body, a win win situation for lazy people like me! I was in two minds about picking up either this or the lemongrass variant, but since this is a dual purpose product (both hair and body), I added this to my cart. I got this for Rs.950/- roughly. Original Price ₹1,895.00 (170 ML)
I also added two sample sachets to my cart for free, Sample Moisture Cream Carrot 1ML and Sample Mask Coffee 5ML. Cannot wait to try them as well, specially the Coffee Mask.
Also this time my haul was more inclined towards the Spa of the World Range (it really bites into your pocket with their exorbitant price), since I have officially bid goodbye to spas for the next few years, and I wanted to try something which felt luxurious and created an ambiance of a spa at home.
So that was all about my first impressions review about the products that I have ordered from their website on SALE. Last year, very few things tempted me, but this year they have expanded their range and I was spoilt for choice. Oh yes, I also got an extra 5% off since I paid online. (More savings, happy me!)
Shipping above Rs.2500/- is absolutely free. Delivery within a week or so after ordering (could take longer during this unprecedented situation). Packaging is absolutely on point and they take special care to wrap it nicely to avoid damage in transit.
