The Face Shop Jeju Aloe 99% Fresh Soothing Gel | Product Review | My Experience | Skincare | Korean Beauty

I take my skincare game quite seriously and love products that have multiple uses. One such versatile product is The Face Shop Jeju Aloe 99% Fresh Soothing Gel. I was introduced to this product around two years back by a dear friend Nivedita, who is also a blogger, and ever since, I have included it as a part of my skincare routine. You can use it as a makeup primer, after bath gel, sun burn soothing gel, hair mask or even to soothe your skin after waxing or threading. So one tub and a variety of uses!

The efficacy of aloe vera gel needs no introduction. I had been using an aloe vera gel from another brand, but was not happy with its results. I had even thought about buying an aloe vera plant and using directly from it. However, it requires a lot of patience and time to cut the leaf and extract the gel, so ultimately I gave up on the idea.

What It Does:

  • The rich essence of Lotus moisturizes and softens the skin.
  • Known for its medicinal properties, aloe moisturizes and softens the skin
  • Can also be used as a face mask or for after-sun care
  • Its formula immediately relieves irritated skin after sun exposure

Key Ingredients: 99% aloe leaf extract Jeju Island and also contains 9 ingredients extracted from natural plants.

How-To-Apply:

  • Softly spread adequate amount on dry areas of face and body.

Packaging and Texture: The product comes in a plastic tub with a screw top lid. It has a lid which prevents the gel from spilling. The gel is green in colour and has a mild fragrance. I try taking out the product with a spatula so as to avoid contamination. The gel is not at all sticky.

It absorbs into my skin easily (I have dry skin!). My experience with this product has been really good. I have included it as a part of my night care skin routine and post waxing sessions, and I absolutely loved the after effect.

The tub is really huge and will last you for a long time, even if you use it on a regular basis. A little amount of the gel goes really a long way in moisturising your skin. I mix it with my night cream in winters, and wake up to radiant skin.

Thumbs Up For :

  • Being a multi-utility product
  • Known to suit all skin types
  • Free from chemicals or parabens
  • Lasts for a long time
  • Overall value for money

Thumbs Down For:

  • The tub packaging makes it unhygienic to use, since you need to dip in your fingers every time you use it.
  • The packaging is also not travel friendly. I need to transfer some of it into a small jar every time I travel.
  • Availability is also a major issue these days, since it goes OOS easily

A 300 ml tub will cost you Rs.390/- It is available on discounts at Nykaa and Myntra, and currently Myntra is selling it for Rs.312/- So get it while the stocks last! It is OOS on Nykaa.

Available on Myntra

Would I repurchase it? Yes why not!

P.S. I have found out that The Face Shop has a tube packaging for the same product. How many of you have used it?
