If I were to answer the most trickiest question that people ask me, it has to be “Please suggest a nude colour that will suit my skin tone.” Truth be told, I am myself unsure when it comes to nude lip colours for me. Online swatches do not help much, since every individual has a different undertone apart from that fact that our lips are also pigmented. However, I have listed some lip colours, both liquid as well as lipsticks, both affordable as well as high-end brands, so that you get an idea of the brown/n*de lip colours that might suit the Indian dusky skin tone.

Wet N Wild Megalast Liquid Catsuit Matte “Give Me Mocha” : Affordable drug-store brand, Perfect n*de for dusky beauties. Universally flattering shade. Dries down to a complete matte. Does not last for more than three-four hours.

Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick “Lolita” : High end, Luxurious Brand, Priced on the higher side, it is a lovely dusky n*de shade that looks lovely on all skin tones. Dries down to a complete matte. A full review can be found HERE

Miss Claire Soft Matte Lip Cream “58” : Affordable drug-store brand, applies patchy on my lips, dries down to a creamy matte, but suits dusky skin tones as a perfect n*de. Does not last for more than two hours.

NYX Professional Makeup Powder Puff Lippie Cream “Cool Intentions” : Affordable drug-store brand, dries down to a powdery matte, looks as if it is barely there on my pigmented lips.

Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick “Chai” : High end, Luxurious Brand. A pinkish mauve brown n*de for my dusky skin tone. Looks lovely when applied.

Colourpop Lippie Stix “Taurus” : Affordable drug-store brand, matte mid-tone yellow brown, suits dusky skintones. Dries down to a creamy matte. Does not last for more than three-four hours. Full review can be found HERE

Colorbar Lip Pencil “007” : I guess this has been discontinued by Colorbar. Nevertheless, it was once a staple favourite. Perfect n*de liner for lip lining.
